How to play Card Shop Tycoon

You run a trading card shop for Mythling, an original card game made for the app. Every in-game day you stock shelves, open the doors and serve customers. Pay rent and wages, grow your fame and move into bigger stores.

Shelves and price tags

Customers only buy what is on a shelf: booster packs of a set, sealed booster boxes, accessories (sleeves, deck boxes, playmats) or your singles binder. Every tag starts at a suggested price a little above market. Price too high and customers walk out or haggle; too low and you leave money on the table.

Customers

Pack rippers buy packs of the hottest set. Collectors look for Holo, Ultra and Secret Art singles and graded cards – and they haggle. Players want playable singles, especially the card that is winning tournaments, plus sleeves. Casual visitors pick up an accessory or a pack. Sellers offer you cards or sealed boxes – shops usually pay 50–65 % of market.

Haggling

When a customer makes an offer you can accept, counter with the slider or refuse. Counter too high and they may make a final offer – or walk away. Small offers are decided by the shop's advisor so the day keeps moving.

Pull rates

Every pack has 6 commons, 3 uncommons and one rare-slot card: Rare 72 %, Holo Rare 19 %, Ultra Rare 7 %, Secret Art 2 %. A box of 24 packs has a Secret Art about 38 % of the time. Packs are bought with in-game cash only.

The market

Prices move every day. A new set is hyped at release, then newer sets steal attention. Every nine days a rare card spikes when it wins tournaments. After eight weeks a set goes out of print and sealed product becomes rarer and pricier.

Grading and the display case

Send a single to Prism Grading for $12; it comes back in four days with a grade from 6 to 10. A Grade 10 is worth three times the raw card. Chase cards in the display case bring fame every day and attract collectors.

Tournaments

With a play table you host a tournament every Saturday. Higher entry fees mean fewer players; prize support is one pack for every two players.

Growing the shop

Corner Stall → Small Shop → Hobby Store → Card Emporium (Premium adds Collector Hall and Mega Store). Bigger shops have more shelf spots, more tables and more walk-ins, but higher rent. Staff serve more customers per day. Decor adds appeal.
